I am a farm fencing contractor and most of my fencing materials are Australian hardwood. Iv been using a MS311 for probably 10 years this beast is a little heavier but WOW O MY. GOD the throttle response is insane and when you touch the timber it says let’s go. I haven’t stopped smiling for 3 days 😊😊😊

You spend all that time talking about dragging that dull GULLET through the wood and then go on to say the RAKER only allows the top plate to cut the wood.....which is it? If the raker BLOCKS most of the cutting tooth ...who cares about the bottom of the gullet?? I think a bigger helmet is needed too.

Thank you for showing something that did not go exactly to plan. It proves that you are human. Not perfect, but no harm no foul. As an amateur I have encountered something similar only twice. In most cases, when you get the leaning tree off of the stump it comes down. But occasionally, the leaner is still leaning when it comes off the stump. The prescription is to stay clear and think alot before taking action.

That bore-cut was Buckin' Billy Ray level of competence! One-n-done. He always mentions using the bore-cut method when there is a big lean in the right direction too, but also when he thinks the center wood is rotten and won't hold.

Looking back I hope everyone realizes just how stupid we were to ALLOW the GOVERNMENT to USE COVID as a tool to remove our GOD GIVEN RIGHTS and shut us down. It was the beginning of the end for freedom and liberty.

He said it... "The best thing you can do is just have a gas saw."

I'm a total amateur so I use the bore cut because I can play and tickle the hinge wood to get it perfect before cutting the trigger wood. You loose the ability to direct the tree on the way down, but as a amateur I wouldn't be that effective at guiding a tree anyway. Plus you can see the condition of the wood at the hinge and wedge it to compensate.

This training is required for everyone? I don't think the wetbax that dominate this area have any training of any kind.

Wow I’ve always manually pulled the bar forward and tighten the bolt down. Extremely helpful video as I’m learning as much as I can. Have a pretty old Poulan Pro Classic and almost got it restored how It needs to be. Great Video!
